About

This blog is dedicated to helping people, who would like to install and run old DOS / Windows games on their PCs, using original media (CDs, DVDs) or disc images of such media.

Most of these games are available on stores like GoG, Zoom or Steam, but not in their original form. They’re always patched to their latest versions, with both official and sometimes unofficial patches, have some compatibility tweaks applied so they can run on modern operating systems, etc. Which can lead to problems for people who want to run them on real, old hardware (running Windows 95 for example), virtual machines or emulators like PCem / 86Box.

Such people should install and run these games using original media or disc images and apply desired patches and fixes on their own.

And that’s where this blog can be helpful.
